Hello guys my 7 year old daughter found this at the harbour beach on holy island  Northumberland. When dropped on a hard surface such as a table it sounds and feels like solid stone. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not seeing clear evidence of septa. Still, I think it might be a collapsed branching rugose coral colony.

There are definitely septa and dissepiments in this shot, so I agree it's pieces of a branched rugose coral from the lower Carboniferous - probably Siphonodendron or possibly Diphyphyllum.

This is completely off tangent, but this is a youtube video of a song I quite like about Holy Island.  No mention of fossils however.
