Petotosky stone

Afterdark

Recommended Posts

Welcome to TFF from Austria!

Well, it could be a Petoskey Stone, but unfortunately, your pics are not very sharp and rather dark, not really revealing the beauty of your stone. Would you like to provide pics a little bit more in focus? Thanks!

Furthermore, whats the size of your specimen? It seems to be rather small.

And what make you think its composed of quartz instead of the usual calcite?

I definitely see some shapes that look kind of like coral, but unfortunately the pics are not clear enough. Would it be possible to get some brighter/more in focus pics?

Try taking photos outdoors in good sunlight. Can't beat that for an excellent source of light for photography. ;)

Cheers.
