Magz
My son and I found a bison bone on a rock bar exposed by our house due to exceptional low water levels. It appears mineralized but I am hoping for additional insight from you all. Thanks! P.s. I have a size 13 foot for size

It is very heavy Your best bet is to do the burn test - hold a flame to it - if it smells, it’s not fossilized, if it doesn’t smell, it’s fossilized. That’ll get the difference between whether it’s a cow or bison bone. Fossils? I dig it.

Fossildude19
I guess not everyone has a ruler handy. This is why body parts are not good measuring tools. 2 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." It’s closer to 12 inches. Slightly under by most charts that I have seen. Coco
Hi, When I asked how many inches there were in a foot, I was only talking about measurements, not shoes ! I assume you’re playing with my proposal... In fact, 1 inch = 30.5 cm. Coco
I was wrong again in writing ! I wanted to remind that 1 foot ( ' if I understood correctly) is equal to about 30.5 cm as you said Kane And 1 inch is equal to 2.56 or 2.54 cm.
