Des1
Fish, creature, or plant? I wish I can clean it up more with out destroying it, any tips? The rock still has moisture.

jpc
nice find...certainly looks fishy. hard to say how to expose more without seeing the thing in person. In any case to do it well, you will need a microscope or at least a magnifying lamp, some nice pointy dental picks or some such, and lots of patience. Fossildude19
Definitely fish. Not sure about the genus/species found there. A quick Google search didn't reveal much in the way of publications. It is upside down in the picture, however. 3 1 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Des1
Thanks for the I.D.'s. I wrapped it up to dry and will let it harden. A piece flaked off already and I glued it back on. It looks good though, well at least for a fossilized fish that looks squashed, lol.
