Mammal tooth ID help

Hi Everyone,

 

looking for some ID help on this tooth. Unfortunately there is no root. It came from a lag layer that contains mostly Miocene and some Eocene materials.

I am thinking peccary..Depends on whether you had fossil peccaries in your part of the country.  for comparison

Grew up in Connecticut.... A few vacations to the Jersey shore and then a few long weekends in Atlantic City... Did not realize that I should have been checking the road cuts for fossils...
