Mermaid
Maybe it’s nothing but this rock bone thing is weird and I kept it in case it’s anything significant. I found it on the beach today in seaside, oregon. I found it high in the sand above the tide line in an area with tons of rocks. I can’t scratch anything off with my nail , it is porous. It’s not light like I would expect it to be if it were wood. Any ideas? Edited September 13, 2022 by Mermaid More specific
Fin Lover
I don't see any indication that it is bone, tooth or wood. Nothing about it makes me think tool. I assume it is rock, but maybe someone else can tell you what type. 1 Fin Lover My favorite things about fossil hunting: getting out of my own head, getting into nature and, if I’m lucky, finding some cool souvenirs. Sergiorex
Yeah same, don’t think it’s anything besides a rock, sorry.

fossilus
Still no fossils. The next to last piece might be asphalt. The snail looks recent.
debivort
I could be convinced the 1st/3rd is a very weathered coral

Fin Lover
If you haven't already seen it, this site goes over some of the types of fossils and rock (and other stuff) you can find on the Oregon coast. https://seagrant.oregonstate.edu/visitor-center/found-beach 3 Fin Lover My favorite things about fossil hunting: getting out of my own head, getting into nature and, if I’m lucky, finding some cool souvenirs.
