Hi all. This little claw (1.6 cm) from the Kem Kem beds is claimed to be a theropod claw. Is that correct? Is it possible to id it to family level?

 

Out of curiosity, I was also wondering if it is possible to tell apart avian and non-avian theropod claws. If so, how can you tell?

 Looks real to me but I'm no expert.  Let the experts chime in and see what they have to say.  I've been wrong many times so I'm interested as well.

Looks more like turtle or croc to me, but let the expert's weigh in.

Thank you all! It is a nice looking claw and it would be a nice challenge to try to find out what kind of animal it belonged to, but as it appears that it is most likely not dinosaurian, it is not what I am looking for at the moment.
