I’ve just bought this book with some birthday vouchers I was given early in the year.

 

The book is Strata, William Smiths Geological Maps.

 

The book is absolutely gorgeous. A real coffee table book giving the history of William Smiths career, his production of the first geological maps and of course his fossil collecting that went with it.
