Hey all, I found something similar to a claw today and I’m wondering if there’s a possibility. Maybe a foot claw if it is but I don’t know what it could be. There’s quite a bit of ironstone on it so it’s hard to say. Dinosaur park formation.

Hi,

My opinion will not weigh much, because you are more experienced than I am. But I agree the morphology may fit an ungual, perhaps macro-photos may help deciding about the fine structure?

What species to expect there in the size-range?

@Troodonmay be able to help?

Best Regards,

Like I indicated in your PM not getting a sense its a foot claw.  The ironstone deposit on it does not help in the identification.

The ridges in red not what expect to see in a foot claw.
