Neanderthal Shaman
The Lincoln Creek Formation exposure a half hour from my house was recently rendered inaccessible, so I've been looking for new areas by my house where I can find paleogene material. I read that the town of Vader, WA has some Cowlitz formation exposures, and sure enough I found some nice fossiliferous bluffs along Olequa creek. My trip was mostly just a scouting mission, but I did find a nice little Priscofusus cowlitzensis.

Best of luck RB Seems that way! I did a little driving around to see if there was a place I could access the big bend in the Cowlitz on foot, but was greeted by some VERY VERY hostile no trespassing signs.
