Zurlan
I found this a few months ago washed up on the beach, it looks like a worn tooth to me but may just be an interesting rock. It caught my eye because of how much different it is to the normal shells/volcanic rock etc found here. This was found in Costa Rica, Puntarenas province (Pacific Side)
Fossildude19
Interesting rock. No bone texture or morphology present. No enamel or root texture to be a tooth. 3 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Fin Lover
I agree. Not a tooth or bone. Fin Lover My favorite things about fossil hunting: getting out of my own head, getting into nature and, if I’m lucky, finding some cool souvenirs. hemipristis
It’s a piece of gneiss, a foliated (layered) metamorphic rock in a suggestive shape, I’m sorry 'Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.'
