Fullux
I found this while looking for crinoid fossils in Northern Kentucky, I thought it looked like a jellyfish but I'm not sure
connorp
Some kind of iron oxide staining I'd guess.
Wrangellian
The little 'dots' of almost equal size and their distribution suggesting something... not a jellyfish, but I'm not sure what. I thought maybe bryozoan impression as the dots are arranged in a suggestive pattern, but I don't know what to make of the scattered ones. Wrangellian
Their size and distribution seem fishy to me, I think there's more going on than random grains of iron oxide.
The Portal
Iron oxide in limestone, pretty darn sure of it. Iron oxides are extremely common throughout this area and I’ve seen many like this one. I can’t make out through the picture any patterns that particularly stand out to me. I also don’t see a solid form that would indicate a fossil, especially a bryozoan. I think the almost equal size and distribution of the iron oxide “spores” (if you will) would only suggest some consistency in the limestone, if anything. Definitely be open to other possibilities, because you never know until you know, and you are after all the one with the actual rock, but from what I can see, I wouldn’t get my hopes too high.
