I finally found a fossil pearl.  It's from the Kamp Ranch limestone.

 

It's almost perfectly round with milky inclusions.

boff, great one! Do you have oysters with them? Just working on a paper about cretaceous pearls from NW-Germany, Campanian. We find them (very very rare...) togehter with oyster-shells

Incredible to see this one, they are really rare...

I didn't even know that they could fossilize. I guess I figured that they wouldn't decompose, interesting!

Congrats Lance! That would be so exciting a find! 
 

Noob question: Have you ever heard of anyone finding some in Exogyra ponderosa? I found a few “sealed” ones and have heard rumors some of this species might have pearls fused inside them!
