Savvas
I have this probable fossil that my mother gave me. Is it indeed fossil and of so what is it exactly and how old? Edited March 11, 2023 by Savvas
Rockwood
Looks like scleractinian coral. That would make it younger than 250 +- million years old. My sense is that this is more recent however.
rocket
I would assume it is a modern one, not fossil
digit
Looks like a chunk of modern Indo-Pacific coral--possibly in the genus Pocillopora. Unless there is some collecting information available for this item it appears to be similar to beach finds that wash up after storms. Cheers. -Ken 1
