Eggs are egg-shaped, and this specimen is just way too irregular to be one, and the embryo shows no identifiable parts like backbone skull or legbones in an articulated form unless it's a "scrambled" egg. Nature creates these egg-wanna-bees by the thousands just to torment us. Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
