TqB
Hi, I don't think there's enough showing to be sure - can't see any sutures so it may be a gastropod (Straporollus/Euomphalus type) Tarquin

Texas-Tunnel Rat
very nice piece. Not sure if its a gastropod like strapollus. I would say maybe clean it up and highlight what you are wanting to show, It looks like a real nice fossil conglomeration. not a true ammonite though. But if its carboniferious coal measure, then it would be most likely a gastro or small pre-ammonite (I forgot the technical term at the momment just got back from a long drive) PUBLICATIONS Dallas Paleontology Society Occasional Papers Vol. 9 2011 "Pennsylvanian Stratigraphy and Paleoecology of Outcrops in Jacksboro, Texas" Author Texas Paleontology Society Feb, 2011 "Index Fossils and You" A primer on how to utilize fossils to assist in relative age dating strata" Author Quotes "Beer, Bacon, and Bivalves!"
