Jesse
Hello all, This is a paper that my adviser just had published on early boring activity of beetles. Pretty good read if your into petrified wood or early insects. http://www.plosone.org/article/info%3Adoi%2F10.1371%2Fjournal.pone.0031668

Jesse
Your welcome guys! I will tell my boss, Dr. Leif Tapanila, that you enjoyed his research, I always joke that no one cares about beetles that it is all about the sharks!

Jesse
We are going to make a very large Helicoprion exhibit, stuffed with Ray Troll art and some top secret stuff that is going to blow peoples minds! However it will not be done in the spring, probably late fall-early winter at best. But let me know when you plan to be there and I will make sure I am there and will give you a private tour of all the whorl-toothed sharky goodness. We are up to 31 specimens! Auspex
Jesse, you have no idea how much I would love to feel my lungs full of Idaho air, and get an interpreted look at 31 Helicoprion specimens! This is the sort of thing I would retire for, if I could...<sigh> "There has been an alarming increase in the number of things I know nothing about." - Ashleigh Ellwood Brilliant “Try to learn something about everything and everything about something.” - Thomas Henry Huxley >Paleontology is an evolving science. >May your wonders never cease! Jesse
Auspex, I all but live at the museum year round so plan a vacation pretty much any time and I will be there. We are also planning to put the aforementioned exhibit on the road at some point in the future so hopefully if nothing else some of the sharks will put in an appearance in a city near you!
