anoldfossil
Hi all, I just stumbled over this topic and yes I would like to confirm the Stone making fungi story. I have two examples of these fungi which were given to me over fifty years ago by a friend who had collected them forty years previously from the mallee area of South Australia. I too took them into the South Australian Museum in the early 70's and they confirmed they were modern but petrified. At that time they told me they had one in their collection.
