I really can't explain the title of this post. It just kind of happened.

Here's yet another find from a creek in Austin, TX. Not sure of the age or variety, but I bet some of you have an idea. What do you think? Thanks for your time and consideration.

not sure what it is but it looks pretty cool, we have a small oyster here in NJ at Big Brook , a Cretaceous site, that has a similar jagged look to it Agerostera mesenterica

It's a species of Lopha; possibly L. travesana.

Agreed! Maybe poetry should be a requirement in topic titles! After all for fossils " what is past is prologue"

Interesting fossil. It is a cretaceous species of oyster. And if I am reading those rullers right WOW! it is a monster! :)
