Some shells from a site called the blue Martillac, the other part is called the yellow Martillac.

Sorry for reviving an old topic but when I found these deep-blue pinnules they instantly reminded me of this thread. 

They come from the Osnabrück Fm. in Germany.

Here is a unique blue bone

This is a distal tarsometatarsal of an Eocene bird.  I found this a few years ago in one of my Wasatch Fm sites insouthwestern Wyoming.

The tmt, as bird people call it, has three rather round, pulley-like articular surfaces where the three toes of a bird originate.  This one is missing the third pulley so I will only show you two.
