Bev
Incredibly GREAT work! The only thing that would make it better is the original pic next to the drawing! Lmshoemaker
I haven't been able to work on your two request, I've been unusually tired the past two days. I shall work on them this weekend and try to have them up sunday when I have an internet connection. This thread will probably be discontinued after that, because school starts back up and I won't have time to work on them.
Haizahnjager
Well, school comes first of course. We appreciate all of your artwork up 'til now. Do it when you are able. Thanks, in advance. -HZJ
AgrilusHunter
Hi Cryptidsaurian, Great drawings! Are you interested in a future in scientific illustration? Sadly, scientific illustration is something of a dying art, another casualty of the digital age, so I think it's cool whenever I see someone your age taking interest in it. If you are interested I can put you in touch with one of the premier scientific illustrators in Indiana. He specializes in insects. I took his scientific illustration course here at Purdue and since then I've had a passion for the art form. Send me a PM if you are interested. You may also want to have a look at the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators, its a great resource that I peruse sometimes just for the amazing imagery. Kehbe
Very nice work Crypti! I enjoyed looking at your drawings very much! Lmshoemaker
School is going great, I finally got put into an advanced chemistry class, it's not so much hard as it is time consuming, but fun at the same time. Meanwhile here Is HZJ's angustidens tooth, this was done in ten minutes, so kind of hastily, but I have to do it whenever I can this weekend or next, or I can't see having time to do these. Also the scanner stripped alot of quality from this one, you can see a trace of a marker line at the top margin of the tooth, but it is nowhere near as clear as it is in person. Lmshoemaker
And now Ludwigia's Crab, this was fun, and a bit odd for me, not really sure why...
Lmshoemaker
The crab will need some additional work, there are some gaps that need filled that I didn't catch before.

Thanks Cryptidsaurian!! I especially like how you captured the root of the tooth, that's often the most difficult part. Once again, thank you, and good luck with your academic endeavors. -HZJ
Ludwigia
The crab will need some additional work, there are some gaps that need filled that I didn't catch before. Well, it's already looking good and well on the way! Thanks! Perhaps it's a bit odd since it's missing a few legs and one claw is much larger than the other. I'm really curious to see the end result. Lmshoemaker
Oh my, it is missing an arm. On second thought I'll just redo the whole crab. I knew about the one claw being large, but I exaggerated it a bit too much.
