vertman
Ok, so here are a few in-the-field and in-situ pics of 2 of the ptychodus teeth, one fish vert, and an imprint of a very large ammonite that someone found prior to my arrival.... Interesting looking site! I believe the teeth are from a species called, "Ptychodus anonymous". The vert might well be from a Xiphactinus audax but I would like to see it cleaned up before making a definitive statement. I am tempted to suggest that much of the exposure looks like Arcadia Park formation shale from within the Eagle Ford Group. I don't think it is down to the lower part of the Britton Formation as I have only seen those ammonites from higher upsection in the Eagle Ford Group. jeremy.greene
i have read a few post but what is the best way for me to get the matrix off these fragile verts and possible enchodus jaw partial?
