This cordaites leaf base is wide of 4 centimeters,it 's enormous ,the size could come up to a lenght of two meters and more .....,from south Belledonne near Grenoble

Aphlebia is an sexual organ of pecopterid ferns who are growed up at the armpit of rachis ferns ,they are like feathers.....this is a fossil who is difficult to see ....,no relief ....

Very interesting, so are you saying that without these, the pecopterid ferns could not reproduce?

I 'm not sure but it could be Aulacopteris ,that is rachis of pteridospermophyta ,cordaites leaves have not relief , these remains of plants are too fleshy ,rachis could produce straith parallel line ...

I found a picture of aphlebia original specimen described by Gutbier in Zwickau ( Saxony ,Germany )

look Roman ,it is Aulacopteris ,rachis ferns with a cyclopteris leaf attached ,this is rachis of neuropteris tenuifolia ...,it is similar to your pics

look Roman ,it is Aulacopteris ,rachis ferns with a cyclopteris leaf attached ,this is rachis of neuropteris tenuifolia ...,it is similar to your pics

Evidently these leaves are obtuse ,they are cordaites leaves .....
