Some Micros For The Alberta Badlands

Here are just a few micros that I collected on the weekend. I have lots more just need to get them cleaned up and photographed.

pic 1 -- Myledaphus centrum
pic 2 -- Belonostomus jaw

pic 3 and 4 -- Champsosaur caudal centrum
pic 5 -- Ceratopsian tooth
pic 6 -- claw, I think probably of a small theropod but could be ornithomimid or even tyrannosaurid
pic 7-- Champsosaur dorsal centrum

nice stuff.. of course that's a biased opinion. I am a big fan of late Cretaceous micros like these.

Thanks, I am most pleased with the myledaphus centrum as they are almost always found broken.

I agree. Among the thousands of late Cretaceous micros I have collected, I have only one Myledaphis centrum and a total of zero belonostomus jaws. Good stuff.

For me that is my first myledaphus and belonostomus pieces. So I guess a good day for me.
