mikeymig
I recently made a display of horn corals (streolasma) in life position and decided to make another coral display using favosites and mounting them in life position. The matrix had a favosites coral on it when it was found and I drilled custom holes into the matrix for each coral I added to the piece. Thanks Mikey Miglietta Museum of Natural History Many times I've wondered how much there is to know. led zeppelin
Fossildude19
Another artistic, (and quite beautiful, I might add!) display, Mikey. Well done. Triops808
That's really a gorgeous diorama:) I always wanted to do something like that with Trilobites in small fish tank:)
Jeffrey P
Mikey; Another impressive display. I happen to like tabulate corals. Your display does them honor. Congrats! Jeff
Missourian
Very cool. One can almost see the polyps swaying in the currents. Context is critical.
Auspex
The medium may not be paint or epoxy, but this is definitely art; may I move it to Paleo-Recreations? Diorama displays like this are something I would like to feature there. Jeff thanks Jeff, Im partial to Favosites and have a whole rack of complete colonies. Wrangellian
Splendid. I was thinking it might look even more realistic if you added some sand around them, but I guess you've got fossils on that rock that you don't want to obscure..
