NZ_Fossil_Collecta
i found this in the leigh area of the north island of new zealand. according to geological maps the are is made up of young sedimentary rock. i was scouring the base of some layered cliffs (like a steeper version of lyme regis), the rock looks and feels sedimentary. o found numerous rocks like the one in the photo, they seem to have some kind of plant debris fossilised in them. i need to know if the objects in the photo are indeed fossils or not. one rock i picked up (pity i left it behind) had some stuff on it that looked remarkably like leaves and twigs. any help would be appreciated, thanks! I'm CRAZY about amber fossils and just as CRAZY in general.
