Mark11
It's 3 inches long, there's two but one is messed up pretty bad. So I only took a pic of the best one, it's now a display rock in my yard. It was found on a dirt road down here in eastland. Sorry, I haven't a clue where to even begin looking for what it is
Bullsnake
It looks like a cross-section of a crinoid column. Steve
RyanNREMTP
That county is a mixture of Cretaceous, Pennsylvanian and Mississippian. It's hard to tell exactly from the picture.
Oxytropidoceras
I agree that it is oblique cross-section of a crinoid stem. In the upper right-hand corner of the larger picture, the axial canal of it can be seen. In the lower left-hand corner, where it is weathered, the individual plates composing it can be discerned. snolly50
Nah, they had pull tabs by that time. Hah, after I posted; it dawned on me that a substantial number of folks would have no clue what a church key was! Now, I'm feelin' creakier than usual.
