Fossils That Look Like Stuff

I have been taking my daughter Becky fossil collecting with me since she was a baby. When she looks at some of the fossils we collect they remind her of other things. She got me doing it and now when I find something weird or different I have to give it a name. I taught her the names of the fossils we collect but she insists on calling them what they look like to her. Here are some of her favorites and now you will be able to see what my Becky sees. :)

Wow. Impressive illustrations. You're quite a creative guy, Mikey, and it looks like Becky's inherited your imagination. Or could it be the other way around? Now I'm all mixed up.

Start the day with a smile and get it over with.

My 3 year old does the same thing, it's always amusing. Good on Becky for thinking outside the box and good on you Mike for bringing out her creativeness.

Carmine (I think) had some similar ones. Shark teeth sailboats if I remember correctly. I love these, they are creative, artful, and do not destroy the fossil.

Darn it Ryan, I was thinking calendar also when I saw the pics. You beat me to the gun! They really are some great photo tweaking.

we always called cucullea steinkerns fox faces, in the south I've heard them called turtle heads, probably too difficult a photoshop job to mock them up though!

Most people including my daughter call trilobites bugs so here's a Triloroach. :)
