Dear all,

Since it is simply impossible for an individual collector to collect everywhere, trading offers a great method to diversify. Several TFF Members are actively collecting plant fossils and together we cover an almost worldwide range of different localities. Even if you are specializing in a particular area, fossils of equivalent age from elsewhere could prove interesting material for comparison purposes (for example, there are some interesting parallels and differences between the European and North American Pennsylvanian floras). My question is, therefore: is anyone interested in trading plant fossil material? Anyone who had any plant material to offer for trade, or is looking for particular specimens to trade, please chime in!

Cheers,

Tim

Looking for nice Zamites specimen, French or other locality. Doesn't need to be a complete frond; but nice contrast and preservation is desired.

Offering Silurian plants (from a Eurypterid horizon), Mid to Late Devonian plants, Pennsylvanian plants and some Eocene plants from USA and Canada.

I will always try to match or exceed the quality and value of the material I send for trade. Willing to send multiple specimens (mix and match) for the right

desirable specimen. Advanced photo exchange is preferable. I love it when a plan comes together and all parties are happy with the trade.

You can probably get a couple of French Zamites specimens via a Belgian friend of mine. I am quite certain he will be interested in your Silurian/Devonian material, so I emailed him about your message.

Hello,

I have several St. Clair (Pennsylvanian) fern plates available for trade; I would be interested in Green River or John Day leaves, or other Pennsylvanian material from Europe.

Here are a few plates:

1-Neuropteris, Alethopteris, and Annularia plates

2-Mariopteris and Neuropteris

Any particular species and/or localities with respect to the Carboniferous of Europe?

Hello,

I'd love pieces from any locality, and as far as the pieces go I am after high-grade specimens of more common species. I'm certainly happy to look at any pieces if you're interested in anything from St. Clair!
