devientmelody
Hello everyone. My boyfriend and I have began to collect amber fossils about two months ago. Mainly we get amber from Myanmar, for the beautiful yellow color of the resin. My boyfriend was able to find a legitimate direct source to acquire freshly mined Baltic amber, we couldn't be more blessed! The Baltic amber is quite stunning in nature and holds fascinating history. Here I like to show everyone some pieces from our collection we are the most proud of. We do not know what's encased within, hopefully in time we'll learn enough to identify. For now, we enjoy the beauty of the unknown (and some known =D ) ---- For some strange reason the website freeze and crash when I upload certain photos. Is there a reason that could have caused this crash? I noticed the site always crashed for the same ones I tried to upload. So unfortunately I can't display what I want to for now... That's why there are only three. Too bad, I really want to show off the scorpion ones... hahaha.

MarcoSr
Beautiful specimens and really nice amber colors. Before you post you can clique on "Preview Post" which will show you what your post will look like. You would see there your extra pictures and can go back and delete them. It looks like you had two problems uploading your pictures. You might have uploaded the same picture and added it multiple times to you post. Each time you clique "add" it will add the picture where your cursor is in your post. Also, if you don't add them to the post, any picture you uploaded will show in the bottom of the post like in your post. The ones that didn't upload probably exceeded the 2MB file size. Auspex
You've a discerning eye for nice amber specimens; I look forward to seeing the rest "There has been an alarming increase in the number of things I know nothing about." - Ashleigh Ellwood Brilliant “Try to learn something about everything and everything about something.” - Thomas Henry Huxley >Paleontology is an evolving science. >May your wonders never cease! Marco Sr. I'll do a preview next time for sure. =) That's the weird thing, my photos are no more than 1MB, I check the format and all are in JPEG. I even renamed them in numerical order in case unicode was the problem. I guess there is no way to add/delete photos once the post in made? devientmelody
Ok now it is working normally! The first is our current lot of amber. Color ranging from golden yellow to dark brown red. Personally I prefer the golden ones for its aesthetic value. 2 is a scorpion but not intact, but you can still see the tails nicely; 4-5 are picture taken under microscope, look like a fly and a mosquito(?); 3,6 is a scorpion, one normal and under uv light, a fairly intact piece i must say. The prehistory mantis looks so different from its current day's evolved form.
