Foot Print Or Other?

Recommended Posts

While searching for fossils in creeks around coal bearing deposits in Eastern KY, I came across

a creek stone that appears to have a fossilized foot print embedded. But I'm no expert.

Any thoughts?

Size of this item?

Regards,

EDIT - Pretty sure it's not a footprint - looks like a clast or inclusion, (maybe limonite?) that has weathered out of the stone.

1" tall by 1/2" wide An inclusion make sense as I'm not sure how a foot print would have been left in that manner.
