givensc13
Recently found a box of old fossils that belonged to my father. I am trying to id some and am relatively new to fossil identification. I believe these fossils came from Michigan. I believe this fossil is Invertebrate - Cnidarian - Hexagonaria but I am not sure -- I checked it on the Paleontology Portal website. Am I right? howard_l
If it is the Genus Hexagonaria which is a rugose mound coral it would be Devonian in age. Howard_L http://triloman.wix.com/kentucky-fossils
Petoskeygal
It does appear to be a rough piece of Petoskey (Hexagonaria).
