The one on the far right is iron concretion. They grow from high iron salts in the water to take on weird bulbous shapes.

Is that second one an agate?

interesting, but I don't think there are any fossils.

I don't see any fossil preservation in these. Just odd shaped rocks. To identify what kind we would need to know the hardness, grain size, if vinegar makes it fizz and if you have a old bathroom tile, check the streak color by rubbing the rock on the back of it. A broken edge to see a fresh surface would help.

OK, I'll take a shot at this...

1.) Rose quartz? If it scratches galss, then that is probably right.

2.) I'm still going with agate on this.

3.) Upper left, sandstone

upper right, white quartz

lower left, limestone with some type of inclusion in it (which just means it has a dark thing that I don't know what it is )

lower right, sedimentary stone showing layers of deposit

4.) iron concretion, I real sure about that one.

Thanks for the input. Ive never seen an agate rock in whole. Ive only seen smaller types which show the bands in them. But now im interested in cutting it open.. " if only I knew how". I will be going to my first rock & mineral society meeting, & I will bring it for show & tell. ...
