I see what appears to be a gastropod in the first pic. can't make out anything much in the second except for the same gastropod on the left.

That looks like pretty solid limestone. Attempting to fracture it open would probably result in uncontrollable fracture lines, possible destroying your gastropod.

I think only a person with an air abrader could attempt to expose more.

Do you think there would be other things inside?

I'd say there's a chance, given some of the pits and vugs visible on the exterior, but you would risk the gastropod to find out.
