rejd
Hey all, here is a piece of baculites from my 3 day trip that I posted about. I started off with 600 grit wet sanding. After I felt it was smooth enough I then went to the buffing wheel. I used a 1/2" wide Hard wheel with Zam. This is my first attempt at polishing. I have many other pieces to work on. I hope you like the results. A fossil hunter needs sharp eyes and a keen search image, a mental template that subconsciously evaluates everything he sees in his search for telltale clues. -Richard E. Ramo
That is beautiful. Do you have a "before" shot of that? Ramo For one species to mourn the death of another is a new thing under the sun. -Aldo Leopold
rejd
Thanks Ramo. I thought I did but cannot find it. I'm sure it will turn up. I'll make sure to get a before shot for the next one.
