Nj Cretaceous Bone Or Ammonite Piece?

Found as lag in Ramanessin Brook. The color is similar to Cretaceous fossils from this locale but there are also modern and ice age finds here. Widest dimensions are 3.5 cm x 3 cm x 1 cm. Looks like bone to me due to the spongy nature of portions of it. If you think it's bone, any ideas on what part of the animal.

To my eye it's a very nice chunk of Ischyodus jaw - nice!

Lol, I wouldn't have a clue on what these things looked like… A shark of some sort?

Look them up online. Sometimes called Chimera and the history of that name is quite interesting as well.
