John S.
Is this what I'm seeing? I picked this up yesterday and almost threw it back. I just noticed today it kinda looks toothy with the inside showing. Thanks for help. This is Ozan formation with red beds close by. Doctor Mud
I second that - nice find ! Ozan formation is Late Cretaceous (from USGS web site). I'm not sure how diagnostic teeth are but it might be narrowed down if there is a list of fauna from this deposit. NSRhunter
Large size so maybe Tylosaurus progriger? But there are also Clidastes and Plioplatecarpus there as well but Tylosaurus is the largest.
John S.
Great info, tylosaurus might be right. It reminds me of the specimen I saw in the SMU museum. another example: http://www.thefossilforum.com/uploads/1251067149/med_gallery_417_362_544514.jpg North Central Texas Eagle Ford Group / Ozan Formation
