Heterodontus Anterior Tooth?

My guess posterior tooth, possibly S.texanus judging by nutrient groove. But I am by far no expert. I have multiple similar teeth that I have found.I have attached one such tooth.

Your tooth is not a Heterodontus species. Here are some examples of Heterodontus species anterior teeth from the Miocene of Bakersfield, CA. Your tooth is a posterior tooth. It is very difficult to identify most posterior teeth to a genus/species.
