Wyandotte Limestone, Pennsylvanian Johnson County, Kansas Finding an eurypterid so early in my fossiling hobby really was a eureka moment. 3 Context is critical. My youngest son and my ammo buddy took a sledge hammer to it and believe you me, some scary stuff. i had to leave and go do some lookin around but they did take off most of the rock and then it only weighed about 200 lbs!!!
