Debbis S
Found this lovely fossil at an estate sale and just couldn't pass it up. Measures 22" long by 4" at widest point. The tag that came with this fish fossil states it's a Vinctifer Comptoni (Agassiz) The tag also states: Fish fossil embedded in arenite with calcareous concretions of the Cretaceous Superior Period (Mesozoic Era) calculated about 90 million years old with Araripe Group Geological Occurrence. The fossil sample found in Araripe Hills in South of Ceara State; North of Brazil. From your opinion, does this sound correct? And is it a good find, still learning. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Troodon
Looks spot on to me, cretaceous fish of Brazil.
