txtwang
I found this in the Bridgeport, Texas approx 10 years ago. It's about 4" in dia and 2" thick. Weighs about 1 1/2 lbs. It is porous like bone with smooth sides. Found beside the road in a gravel pit. I always figured it was a vertbrae from something but never knew what. Thanks you any help identifying this. jpc
Yup, it is a very worn out vertebra of something... (grammar note: only one is a vertebra, several are vertebrae). I leave the animal ID to someone else

Cris
I'm wondering if it might be something like mammoth or mastodon... The condition makes it very difficult to tell, but it looks like that's a possibility.
