Hey Y'All,

Found these in some micro-matrix from Rattlesnake creek.

I do not have any idea what these things are, but one looks like a pine cone and the other reminds Me of a heart.

Anybody have any ideas on this?

Thanks,

Tony

The first looks like a plant bud. I find a lot of modern ones when I screen in rivers. The second looks like a mold of the cavity a boring clam makes.

Thanks for the information. Do You find any leaf buds that are fossilized?

I always wonder if some of the ones I find are fossil. I do find a lot of Cretaceous lignite when I screen so a lignite bud could be possible.
