Puffin And Shrimps

Hi i have just come back from a weeks holiday/fossil hunt on the Yorkshire coast UK staying in Bempton an area i really like.This year i manage to see the Puffins at the end of their breeding season before they head out to sea and just up the coast at Speeton i managed to collect these Shrimps Meyeria ornata (you might have seen from previous posts i have collected here before).

This picture shows the shrimp beds at Speeton to the right and Bempton cliff to the left.

Congratulations on seeing the Puffins :)

These shrimp fossils are particularly attractive; good detail and good matrix contrast :wub:

Wow, the detail is incredible. I can see why you like that spot. Beautiful area, good wildlife and great fossils. What more could a person ask for?

Nice job finding some spectacular shrimp fossils. I can't think it was that easy to find them on that beach!
