Bev
Ordovician Prosser member of the Galena Formation SE Minnesota Group Hunt 8.8.15 I am pretty darn sure this is a trilobite, but I'm no expert. But I got really excited when this little girl found it! :-D We'll refer to this one as "Trilo 1", okay? Continued.... The more I learn, I realize the less I know. howard_l
You were right on the first one being a trilobite, the second one being trilobite parts, they could be. The last group on the pygidium It looks more like a brachiopod fragment. Howard_L http://triloman.wix.com/kentucky-fossils
Bev
Any thoughts on what the two trilos may be??? The more I learn, I realize the less I know. howard_l
Looks a little like Flexyclymene, but it is hard to tell from what is exposed. Howard_L http://triloman.wix.com/kentucky-fossils
abyssunder
First of all, Beverly, I have to say that are nice finds, especially for someone who does not have access for this kind of fossils. Looking at the pictures, also I'm sure "Trilo 1" - is a trilo part, the cephalon (what is visible). About "Trilo pieces"- I`m not sure they are, but what I see in the near upper portion I think is a crinoid stem (the stelar shape). For the "Pygidium"- my best guess would be brachiopod. Guguita2104
Nice finds, Bev!The brachiopod fossil seems a Platystophia...About the 'trilo pieces' I agree with abyssunder.
