old dead things
A couple of weeks ago I posted pictures of a cycad I had recently purchased. Today while cleaning, yes I will explain that more in another post, I realized I had another one. Probably, twenty years ago I purchased what I thought to be a geode, just because I thought it was pretty and I was buying some other things as well and money was burning a hole in my pocket.......well, once again I digress. When I took it off the shelf today, I realized for the first time, this was a cycad or at least I think as much and a geode, or both or not, what does the membership think? old dead things
I'll be at the Tate Museum later today JP and will bring it along, maybe the mystery will get solved..... Now that I think about it, it has to be a geode............doesn't it?
Herb
absolutly a geode, maybe a cycad. Either way nice specimen "Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence"_ Carl Sagen No trees were killed in this posting......however, many innocent electrons were diverted from where they originally intended to go. old dead things
I took this piece to JPC and the Tate Museum yesterday and after much discussion JPC concluded it is indeed a cycad/geode. It still baffles me and I am tempted to cut the other cycads I have.
