married2rick
A friend found this over the weekend in an area along the Susquehanna river where he lives. When the farmers plow the fields, he walks them and always find Indian artifacts. (insert a smiley face snicker here because every time I mention a farmer in his field I think of the Farmers Only .com website and I seriously laugh out loud). Sorry, my odd sense of humor always gets the best of me. He is sure this is a tooth of some sort. What do you think?
JohnBrewer
I think this is geological rather than biological I'm afraid. 1 John Map of UK fossil sites

Fossildude19
Alas, the resemblance to a tooth is fleeting. There is no enamel, and no bony textured root. Sorry Brenda - he is out of luck on this one - looks like a quartz cobble to me. married2rick
Thanks everyone. I actually hinted to him that I didn't think it was a tooth but I could tell his heart was breaking a little as I said it so I stopped talking. Nothing worse than almost bringing tears to a grown mans eyes when his hopes are so high. I will break the news to him tomorrow. Wish me luck and the necessary integrity to be painfully honest. lol, Brenda
sixgill pete
Good Luck Brenda. But remember, to as friend especially, it is always better to be painfully honest than it is to be painlessly dishonest. 1 Bulldozers and dirt Bulldozers and dirt behind the trailer, my desert Them red clay piles are heaven on earth I get my rocks off, bulldozers and dirt Patterson Hood; Drive-By Truckers May 2016 May 2012 Aug 2013, May 2016, Apr 2020 Oct 2022
