Spinosaurus tooth - is it real?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I'm new here. I am trying to find out if a tooth I bought last year is a real Spinosauras tooth. I was totally content to believe it was, until I dropped it and it broke in two. The inside looks like chalk. I thought that the tooth would look different, not literally like a piece of chalk. Does anyone here know for sure what the inside should look like, and if not, would anyone know who I could contact by email or fb to find out?

thank you for your time,

JaneE

PS if seeing photos would help, let me know and I'll upload some!!!!

Jane you definitely need to post pictures of item in question. Without some sort of image to go on, we can only speculate from a description which doesn't go far when trying to ID something.

Jane, I've moved your inquiry to its own topic. Looking forward to your photos. ;)

When mine snapped it looked like crumbly chalk.

Pictures will help though!
