Honestly I am not seeing anything that looks like bone to me in these pictures. The item looks like the ironstone concretions that are very common in that area. Neat shape!

Thanks. Seeing the crack as in the center photo did sort of prepare me for the possibility. Guess I still don't have any experience with complete marine mammal bones this size.
