Guguita2104
Yesterday I went to Lisbon (to see Scorpions concert ) and I profited to visit the Geological Museum of Lisbon, for the second time. This amazing place of geological/historical culture was stablished in 1857 and it was the first portuguese museum solely dedicated to Geological and Archaeological sciences (I didn't took photos to the Archaeological artifacts, because I just had two hours to visit it ) . At the museum we can see a bunch of collections, all of them related to stratigraphy, mineralogy, paleontology, pre-historic archaeology (Stone age, Bronze age and Iron age) and historic archaeology (after writing system invention). This museum is also very remarkable, because it's highly related to the Science evolving in Portugal and to the first geologists, archaeologists and paleontologists (like Paul Choffat and Nery Delgado) . If you come to Portugal, I'm sure you will love to visit this Portuguese cultural mark (at least, it made me feel a XIXth century scientist ). In the afternoon I'll post all the photos I took. Hope you enjoy this report . Regards, Guguita Edited June 29, 2016 by Guguita2104
