Our favorite place to hunt locally is Stratford Hall.  Here's our findings over the last couple of weekends.

We've probably been out there at the same time then! Last Monday 4 Megs were found...not by me though. For a tiny beach, it does seem to continually produce.

Thanks all.  The white hemi is the largest my daughter has ever found.  The black one was in much better condition.

4 Megs - that's awesome!  We keep holding out hope that we will find one there.  She did find a nice chunk of a meg there at the end of September.  Stratford has been very good to us!

I was very excited about finding the arrowhead.  It is on the small side but in great condition.  Completely unexpected find.

Nice Tautoga teeth.  Tautoga is an uncommon fish genus from Stratford Hall.

MarcoSr - Thanks!  Her geology teacher identified it for her when she went back to school after that weekend.  He said the same about it being uncommon.

Do you know if others have been found there?

We met you on Aug. 20th at an event with Dr. Weems.

Yes, my sons and I have a number of them but we have been collecting the area for many years.

I like helping with the fossil trips at Stratford Hall.  I get to meet a lot of really nice people.
